The Holy Bible is an esoteric book that I venerate. It is of grave interest to me because it is held together with a convincing language supported by tradition. Christianity has a certain philosophy; a theory which inspires books, essays, and supporter’s lectures of how one should be/exist. As a youth, I have always pondered the meaning of words within Christianity because I saw that people often said meaningless and muddled things. The language within Christianity suggests a way of doing things that is depended on a system of words and sentences that together become the theory, the foundation, the goal and, power presumably for good. Yet, that language is perverted to mean something uses for power in the system of the law via
For "Tell A Friend To Tell A Friend The Spirit And The Bride Says Come" I was inspired by Revelations 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. . .” Now, this essentially means that Christ is the husband, and the Church is the bride. I subscribe to Christianity, which makes me a bride. My paintings inculcate the question what does it mean to be a woman causing one consider the transitions of terms through time, and the influence of religion as a means of creating laws of how people should be and exist.
